Arthur has loved Laren since the boy saved him twelve years ago. Even knowing Laren is male, he completes the marriage and uses pure-blood dragon magic to reshape Laren’s body. Dragon eggs can only be conceived by two souls in true love—but the old Dragon King and noble Cecilia oppose them and plot to kill Laren. Believing he is only a breeder, Laren clashes with Arthur, who swears his love belongs only to him. Laren falls into a trap in Lawrence, where Prince Karl humiliates him and tries to seize Lily. Arthur arrives in black-dragon form to save him. Laren deposes his foolish father and places Lily on the throne. Returning to Dragon Castle, Laren gives birth to a dragon heir. When the old king launches a coup, Arthur crushes the rebellion and seizes the crown. He holds a grand coronation and names Laren his Dragon Queen. The pair live in peace with their child.
